Holiday Look Book | Rhodes 2017

This last week was spent pool side on the gorgeous island of Rhodes. My sister and I booked a last minute trip, to get our fix of sun and all inclusive cocktails for the summer. I've been posting a few snaps here and there on my Instagram and twitter while I've been away, but now that I'm back I'll be sharing everything I got up to.

The first of which is a little look book filled with balcony photos of my outfits from each evening. Each night was spent with full bellies and getting our fill of Tequila Sunrises, Blue Lagoons and San Francisco's while playing some competitive card games. While during the day I was dressed in bikinis or shorts while we explored some of Rhodes, I tried to make a bit more of an effort for the night. No make up did wonders for my skin during the day, but getting dolled up for the evening is always fun.

Night One



Top - New Look 
Skirt - Primark 

Day one in the sun - so my skin is looking a little paler and I hadn't indulged in the snacks and bar that the hotel offered quite yet. This outfit is one of my favourite ones, the top includes some padding, meaning that I didn't even have to wear a bra with it! 

Night Two 



Dress - Top Shop (few years old) 

This one is many years old - I got it for my sisters graduation and have rediscovered my love for it. It seems to make a reappearance each summer. It's floaty and easy to wear, and the capped sleeves offer a little bit of protection for my already burnt shoulders!

Night Three




Top - Primark 
Shorts - Years old from a charity shop

This top is a new purchase, and I've already worn it at home with black jeans and my grey jeans - I've dressed it up for a night out and worn it with sandals during the day. The print is perfect for summer which is why I knew I needed to pack it. 

Night Four



Playsuit - New Look 

The chequered playsuit with the frill is a new piece I added to my wardrobe this year - I walked into New Look and couldn't resist it - it's just too fun! Although the night that I decided to wear it, someone a lady was wear a top in the same pattern - so we both gave each other a nod and tried not to stand too close to one another! 

Night Five



Top - Matalan
Skirt - New Look

This skirt is one that I picked up last year - and showed off in this outfit post. I think its perfect for summer, its floaty and long and looks so easy and breezy. I paired it with this top on this night, although I've also worn it with plain tops too.

Night Six



Top - Primark 
Skirt - Primark 

My tan has kicked in by the last day and I decided to wear a simple combo of the white skirt from day 1 and a yellow top from Primark. This top can be worn on the shoulders or off the shoulders. I decided to pull it into a knot at the front, but during the day I'd wear it loose where its floaty. 

Some of my outfits are old pieces that I still love and want to re-wear - That's what happens in Scotland at least - I'm able to wear the majority of my Summer clothes for 2 weeks while I'm on holiday then they get sent back up into the attic for the next time I hop on a plane. It's a shame really, not being able to wear the clothes more, but I suppose thats why I keep them year after year, and only buy a few new pieces to spruce it up. 

What's your favourite outfit to wear over summer? I'm excited to wear some of these outfits again when I'm in Italy for my dig, and hopefully over the summer up here in Aberdeen. Reckon there might be some sun this year? We got some the other week and I'm hopeful it'll return.
